“I was Brooke Borges’ trainer for about a year. She was a wonderful addition to our stable. She leased a cute little hunter and did very well with him. She was very responsible and really grew during the year that she was with me. She loved to learn and was wonderful to teach.
During the lease there were ups and downs, but her attitude stayed positive. A quick hock injection and they were moving forward. Instead of getting upset and wanting to quit at the not so successful show, she realized he wasn’t quite right and made sure he was ok. After that they moved forward quickly and did quite well.
Unfortunately, during her time with her horse, Covid happened and showing came to a standstill. Instead of showing her disappointment, she took that time to improve her riding. No matter how hot, tired or even cold (It’s Florida, so that wasn’t the norm) she was, Cody came first, and she rode as often as she could. She was always a joy to have at the stables and would be a great addition to any program.”

“I have had the pleasure of coaching Brooke Borges on Ravenwood Farm’s IEA team for its’ past 3 seasons. During this time, I have witnessed Brooke progress immensely in her skill level. She has advanced from our team’s novice equitation division into the varsity open division, earning great success along the way. Ms. Borges is extremely coachable; she takes constructive feedback well and puts it into practice. She is a team player, a hard worker, and it is my belief that she will be a valuable asset to any collegiate equestrian program moving forward.”
